Market Day

Here are some pictures of the lovely market day. As you can see the skies were less than blue but thankfully the rain held out. Some stallholders achieved a record day. Today we're nutting out dates for next year, so will write more later.

Percussionist Ray Pereira

How lucky are we to have landed renown percussionist Ray Pereira. He is pictured above with Nii Tetty Tetteh. Ray and friends will be bringing their upbeat music to One Market. Gourmet Sausages

Good 'ol Hobsons Bay Old Style Butcher's gourmet sausages will be available at the One Market this Saturday. The flavours available are "Tomato and Onion", "Cornish" and "Lamb". Served in some bread with onion. Oooooo we can't wait.

Lighthouse Olive Oil

Lighthouse Olive Oil is a multi-award winning olive oil, grown and cold pressed on the Bellarine Peninsula, a wonderful place of maritime coastal culinary delights including wines, good food and delicious olive oil. With 11,000 trees grown on 165 acres overlooking Swan Bay and Queenscliff, Lighthouse is the largest olive grove on The Bellarine.

Shall I....

We're thinking the same thing too: "wish i could sink my teeth into these scrumptious treats". And the name of Laila's sweet business is Shall I. So cleverly thought out. Looking forward to meeting you on Saturday Laila.

Portuguese Egg Tarts

One thing that gets my mouth all watery is Portuguese Egg Tarts. These have been voted the best in Melbourne. Custard and Chocolate tarts will be available too, along with Apple tarts. The One Market team already has dibs. mmmmmmmmmm!

Exotic and Designer Soft Drinks

When hosting a dinner party, remember the responsible drivers and woo them with some Exotic soft drinks from Chapel Street Cellars. The One Market team tried them and they certainly get our nod of approval. Refreshing and sass. Rob Burness will be showing his range of drinks from Bulgaria, Italy and Tasmania.

One Market Press Release

This is us in a nutshell. It has been such a pleasure to put together a market of beautiful things. There is so much Melbourne talent out there and uncovering it has been a blast.

Oprhfund photo blocks

We were invited by Steve from Orphfund on a Friday night to a Bloc Party in laneway Melbourne. It was a fun night. We bought a photo block with all proceeds going to charity. The picture is set in Berlin with "the world is too small for walls" as graffiti. For a $2 raffle, we also won a weekend away in spa country Victoria, Daylesford. Noice! Orphfund will be bringing their beautiful blocks to Williamstown for the One Market.

Hokey sweet handmade accessories

Hollie and Mike of Hokey are such a lovely couple, we are so glad that they are joining us at One Market. Hollie hand casts and makes lovely accessories from resin. She also hand makes fabric bags and purses. Multi talented, she's a writer too of littlelostlove.blogspot.com. Have a read, it's quite entertaining.

Carpets for Communities

Carpets for Communities is such a brilliant idea and the rugs that they create are so lush. To think that they are made from recycled clothing is amazing. Carpets for Communities is a not for profit group who provide all the necessities for mums, of children in need in Cambodia, to create beautiful rugs that are sold in markets across Australia. The profits are then sent back to the mums to care for their children. www.carpetsforcommunities.org.

Bush Essentials

Oh how we love a good Aussie skin care product. Kelly Richardson will be showing the Bush Essential range that is made from Australian essential oils, especially good for people with skin conditions. www.bushessentials.com.

Yazzii

Christmas shopping just got a whole lot easier with Yazzi designed make up and jewellery holders. The intricate patchwork on each bag is just devine.

Pixie Lena

Pixie Lena was created by two sisters who just love to shop. Their business was created to fill an urge for stylish dresses. They scour Melbourne for the cutest summer and special event dresses. The One Market team is excited to see what the sisters have in store for the market on the 12th of December.

Lou Masons' art is original and will be available at the One Market. You'll find Lou Mason signature style prints along with matching Christmas cards, quality wool items and hand quilted wool cushions.

Mecino

Okay the One Market team are seriously loving our job today. Mecino's jewellery is just so beautiful, we are so booking a private viewing. Mecino is contemporary jewellery made from swarovski crystals, pearls, copper, brass and vintage finds. Lots of little treasures, lockets and quirky charms - all pieces are one-off. www.mecino.com.au.

How devine are these vegetable and herb seedlings cultivated in handmade recycled newspaper posts filled with organic mix and seeds? Food For Your Skin

On a lazy Saturday afternoon, we met Food For Your Skin at the Rose St Artists' Market. We wanted to eat their soap that is crafted into a cupcake design. It really is food for your skin. We just had to invite them to the One Market. www.foodforyourskin.com.au.

We feel so lucky to be able to have a sneak peek at the beautiful designs by the very clever designers. We can't wait to see all the carefully selected products in one place.

Charlie May's beautiful range of boys and girls clothing have confirmed a place at the One Market. We're looking forward to seeing their new range. Our favourite so far is the Matryoshka skirt worn by the model here.

Debut One Market in Williamstown

The concept has been on the drawing board over the last two years and we are pleased to be announcing the debut One Market in Williamstown, Melbourne.
